Grandmother Moon Women's Wellness Weekend
Tours of Interest of Women
Relax and unwind on this weekend getaway designed especially for women.

Anishnaabe Welcome
Check in Friday – between 4 and 6 pm.
Wilderness tea and appetizers.
Sweetgrass welcome ceremony.
Women's hand drum singing.

Welcome dinner
Friday, between 6 pm and 8 pm - Visit your hosts over a relaxing dinner and light conversation.

Hot and healthy breakfast
Saturday between 7:30 and 9 am.

Mother Earth walk
A guided hiking experience on area trails where you will view spectacular scenery; identify various plants and their uses; and handpick a natural keepsake.

Traditional Aboriginal Feast
Thursday (PM) - Share in a selection of traditional foods of the local Ojibwe, Odawa, Pottawatomi.

Anishnaabe craft workshop
Saturday 1:30 to 3:00 pm - Learn about the teachings behind the use of deerhide; create a "medicine pouch" which you fill with items from your nature walk. Enjoy a selection of herbal teas and heart healthy snacks.

Optional activity 1 – Massage
Unwind and relax under the skilled hands of a local registered massage therapist.

Seasonal selection dinner
Saturday between 5 pm and 7 pm – savor the tastes of the region.

Grandmother moon – sharing circle
Saturday 7 pm to 9 pm – learn about the traditional values and concepts shared around the seasons & societal roles of women of the Anishnaabe people.

Optional activity 2 - Sunrise yoga
Sunday – 7 am to 8 am - Greet the day with "sun salutations" and a relaxing yoga session.

Sunday brunch
Sunday – 9 – 11 am – enjoy a hot and abundant breakfast as you reflect on your weekend.

Checkout and Farewell
Sunday noon.
