The Anishnaabe people in this region believe the land to be truly blessed. In fact, Manitoulin Island or "Mnidoo Mnissing" as it is called in our original language translates as "Island of the Spirits". Many believe Manitoulin to be the home of the Great Spirit as evidenced by the beauty of creation which surrounds us. Crystal waters, clear blue skies, the abundance of flora and fauna make for an inspirational playground. Come enjoy the land where "spirits come to play".
