De-ba-jeh-mu-jig Theatre Group stages original works by local Aboriginal playwrights and choreographers during their main stage production in late July and early August. Dates for 2006 are:

The Great Spirit Dancers perform daily at the Ojibwe Cultural Foundation from Monday through Thursday at 2 pm throughout July and August, 2006.
The Great Manitou Star Party Manitoulin's premier and original astronomy festival is presented by the Manitoulin Island Dark Sky Association in partnership with the Aundeck Omni Kaning First Nation during the second week of August each summer. This family friendly event is designed to appeal to all star-gazers at all levels from expert to novice and celebrates one of the best places in North America to enjoy the night sky. With little to no light pollution, you can enjoy velvet black skies and diamond light stars and a little Manitoulin magic.
