Driving directions from Toronto via Sudbury to Manitoulin Island
Follow Highway 400 North to Sudbury, then take Highway 17 West to Espanola. Espanola lies on Hwy 17, 70 km west of Sudbury, and 240 km east of Sault Ste. Marie. In Espanola take Highway 6 South to Manitoulin Island (approximately 60 km). Little Current is the first town you reach once you cross the swing bridge to the island.
By ferry from Southern Ontario
In the summer months from May through October the Chi Cheemaun ferry operates between Tobermory on Hwy 6 in the Bruce Peninsula and South Baymouth at the southern most tip of Manitoulin. By Air
Commercial flights land in Sudbury approximately 200 km or a 2 hour drive from Manitoulin while charter flights fly into the Manitoulin East and Gore Bay airports. Rental vehicles are available at the Sudbury Airport.
Directions to Sagamok
To reach the Sagamok Anishnawbek First Nation, follow Hwy 17 to Massey, Ontario and follow the directional signage to the community, approximately 10km once you cross the bridge at Spanish River.
